Soundhole microphones suspend a gooseneck mounted mic inside the instrument, and provide the most accurate and realistic sound reproduction of any on-board amplification device or pickup. Models are available for guitar, and other instruments (inquire by contacting us via email). The gooseneck permits positioning the mic in a variety of locations inside the instrument for the best possible sound.
The Donnell MiniFlex 2Mic is a dual microphone system which is mounted inside the instrument and is designed to pick up sound from two different locations. This aids in reducing feedback by being mechanically, but not electrically out of phase and makes mic placement a less critical factor for sound optimization.
The microphones come in several different configurations, including the
original endpin mounted internal Model 1 as well as the quick mount external
Model 2 with the microphones extending into the soundhole thus requiring
no modification of the instrument. Additional models include Model 3 a
modified version of Model 2 for classical and flamenco guitars with no
strap or end pin buttons.
MiniFlex Model 4 is a natural evolution of the original 2Mic designed for
players who want to combine the 2Mic with a separate pickup such as a
undersaddle or soundboard piezo pickup (even systems that already have an inline
or “barn door” pre-amp) or a magnetic sound hole unit. Rounding out the
selections are the Model 10 series designed for external mounting on a variety
of acoustic instruments. Model 10a short length dual (for banjo) goosenecks, 10b with medium length dual goosenecks and 10c with longer dual goosenecks.

2 - External Quickmount

The Model 2 is a single mount dual condenser microphone configuration that attaches externally to the guitar requiring no modification of the instrument. With batteries mounted in the external volume control box no external power is required and attachment and removal of the unit is easily and rapidly accomplished. The microphones extend inside the instrument through the soundhole and have a high feedback resistance. |

specifically for classical & flamenco guitars. Model 3 is a quick mount
design, similar to our Model 2, but with several new and unique features:
A mounting harness that does not require an end pin or strap buttons designed to protect the guitar finish. The velcro faced mounting pad is attached to a clamp with padded with high quality cork jaws connecting to an elastic cord. |

The MiniFlex Model 4 is a natural

schemes, all fully illustrated and explained in the instructions. Both microphones are mounted on one flexible neck. The pre-wired TRS output jack simplifies hook-ups so that the Miniflex 2Mic and the second pickup can be processed separately using a 1/4" TRS "Y" cable. |
